XLA’s Summer Internship Program

May, 2019 – This summer XLA will again support a summer intern program, with participants working at both our Vienna corporate office and onsite with our customers.  The program gives local college students an opportunity to learn about XLA and gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional environment. XLA is committed to developing the next generation’s workforce. “We have had great success with many of our interns completing their summer program here at XLA and subsequently going on to obtain full-time roles either leading programs for our organization or joining government agencies in the technical field of their undergraduate area of study.” said Stephanie White, XLA’s Director of Human Resources.  “We welcome all to apply when the program opens up in May of each year for summer internship opportunities here at XLA.”

TEAM XLA WINS NARA ISSO

SUPPORT SERVICES CONTRACT

October 18, 2018 – XLA and Missing Link Security (MLS) are pleased to announce that The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), has awarded the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Support Services to Team XLA-MLS. The ISSO Support Services is a five-year contract (base year, with four one-year options).

NARA is the nation’s record keeper and it is an independent agency established in 1934 to identify, protect, preserve, and make publicly available the historically valuable records of all three branches of the Federal government.  Archives locations in 17 states, from coast-to-coast, protect and provide public access to millions of records and provide Federal agencies superior records storage, access, and disposition services through a national network of facilities.

Together, Team XLA-MLS along with SiloSmashers as a subcontractor, brings a thorough understanding of NARA’s architecture, strategic priorities, and prudent emphasis on fiscal discipline, while maintaining a relentless focus on organizational transformation. Our Team brings years of knowledge and experience serving as subject matter experts in the information system security arena, having built and delivered many of the mission-critical services and modules used within enterprise security management systems.

Since 2007, XLA has supported NARA in providing Cybersecurity services in support of Chief Information Security Officer and performing Authorization & Accreditation, vulnerability assessment, Incident Response, policy development and review, annual training development, phishing, systems administration, and security engineering support services. XLA has also supported NARA projects such as Enterprise Architecture (EA), Data Model Management, IT Project Management, Information Systems Test, and Configuration Management for many of the enterprise-wide initiatives.

“We are extremely elated to receive this ISSO contract award and our Team looks forward to providing support to NARA,” states Asim Malik, Director, Programs and Technical Solutions at XLA. “This is a significant award with critical mission support activities enabling XLA to expand our presence into areas which require high-level clearances and we are honored to have the opportunity to provide NARA with our ISSO expertise.”
