Project Example: Facilitation of Best Practices Reviews for the DOE NNSA
XL was tasked by the NNSA to facilitate a year-long review of Best Practices at 6 locations across the nation's national laboratory complex. XL efforts included participation by our subject matter experts in the review of DOE/contractor engineering, procurement, operations, and management.
The program was jointly designed by NNSA and XL to provide a new approach to program oversight, communications of Lessons Learned, and knowledge management. Since participation by DOE/NNSA team members varied during the program, XL personnel participated in each site visit in order to provide a "process memory" for each DOE team leader.
At the conclusion of the site visits, a final summary program conference was held for DOE Quality Assurance leaders from across the country. XL consultants provided facilitation support and presented subject area topics of interest to the attendees.
