Grants Lifecycle Management
XL defines the Grants Lifecycle in four phases: Pre-Award, Post-Award, Administration & Compliance, and Close-Out. Our combined experience and approach to the various phases of the Grants Lifecycle gives us the tools we need to help clients manage a diverse and complex portfolio of grant programs.
During the Pre-Award phase, XL works closely with our clients to review guidance, conduct appropriations analysis, and provide technical assistance as needed. We are fully aware that each individual program poses unique challenges. We provide comprehensive research and documentation support and ensure that any guidance or answers provided are available for easy future access and retrieval.
XL understands that the Post-Award period requires close scrutiny, high levels of accuracy and strong quality assurance. Our team already uses and understands many of the current federal grants management systems, and we bring that understanding and systems knowledge to client engagements.
During the Grants Administration phase, we understand that grantees may be state, local, non-profit, tribal or any set of constituents, which may result in a need for program implementation at the site or within that local regional office. XL supports any location for any program. We fully coordinate with agency decision makers as well as grant recipients so that the right staff is available. Further, we are able to travel in support of grants administration when needed. The XL Team is flexible, adaptable, and very accustomed to demanding schedules and workloads. Furthermore, we provide compliance monitoring on each grant to ensure schedules are met, regulations are adhered to, and monies are accounted for.
XL is fully experienced in Close-Out activities both in acquisitions and grants. Once the project is complete, our personnel work with the agency to ensure all funds are accounted for, all documentation is complete and recorded, and the project closed. We follow all regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and timely close-outs occur on all grants.
